BOW MARKET TAKES OPEN COVID PLEDGE
Somerville, Massachusetts, April 22, 2020 — Safe Supply was created to support our local food community and reduce undue pressure on our frontline workers by providing safe access to essential goods. We positioned the first market, held on March 20th, as a pilot, carefully documenting the entire process. One month and 12 markets later, we have a blueprint for safely connecting food, people, and public space.
Upon publishing this Field Guide, one of our neighbors suggested that we could more explicitly state our desire to help, pointing us in the direction of the Open COVID Pledge, a movement and mechanism for making every tool we have at our disposal deployable to the greatest effect in the fight against COVID-19, market plans included.
We are proud to share our small contribution with the world. We pledge to offer it free of charge for use in ending the COVID-19 pandemic and minimizing the impact of the disease.
